No. The Portal is a web application. Anyone with an invitation can browse guides, search, and use FlowShare Assist from their browser. Only authors who create guides need FlowShare Desktop installed.
The Portal backend, database, and storage are hosted in Frankfurt, Germany. AI features (FlowShare Assist) run on Azure OpenAI in the EU (France and Netherlands). Your data is never shared with third parties or used to train external models.
Assist reads the text and images from your published guides and answers questions based on that content. It links every answer back to the original step in the original Flow, so your team can verify and read more context. It runs on Azure OpenAI in the EU, fully GDPR-compliant.
