Tango is a browser-based capture tool that turns clicks in a web application into a shareable step-by-step guide. It is quick, light and well suited to teams whose processes live entirely in browser-based software.

When is Tango the better choice?

When your processes run in the browser, cloud storage is not a problem for you, and you need something colleagues can pick up with no installation. Tango also works for Mac users, which FlowShare does not, since FlowShare is software for Windows only.

What can FlowShare capture that browser tools cannot?

Anything installed on Windows: as screen capture documentation software it records SAP GUI, ERP and finance clients, internally built tools and legacy software. A browser extension can only see what happens inside the browser, which rules out a large part of the processes in most regulated organisations.

Where does the data live in each case?

FlowShare is on-premise documentation software: it captures and stores locally on your Windows machine by default and can run in air-gapped environments. Browser-based tools capture into their own cloud service by design. If screenshots of your systems must not leave the network, that difference decides the choice on its own.

Do we keep ownership of the output?
