They range from full enterprise enablement platforms to lighter capture tools, including FlowShare, ClickLearn and general documentation software. The choice usually comes down to one question: do you need guidance embedded inside the application, or step-by-step documentation you can export and distribute?
When you need in-application performance support inside SAP, simulation-based training, and a large enablement programme with dedicated staff to build and maintain it. That is a different job from producing documentation quickly during a project, and FlowShare does not attempt it.
FlowShare is a Windows desktop capture tool. SAP stopped selling new Enable Now contracts in 2025 and named WalkMe its strategic successor after acquiring it in 2024. Existing contracts continue to run, but mainstream maintenance ends no later than November 30, 2030. Anyone still planning around Enable Now today should factor that date in from the start.
