datango is a long-established authoring and simulation tool for enterprise software training, used heavily in SAP environments, where teams often compare it against capture-based SAP GUI documentation. Teams typically look elsewhere when the authoring effort, the licence model or the pace of producing new content no longer matches how quickly their systems change.
When learners need to practise in a safe copy of the system before touching the real one, and when you have the authoring capacity to build and maintain those simulations. Simulation is a genuinely different product category from step-by-step documentation, and FlowShare does not replace it.
FlowShare is on-premise documentation software that records the real process as it is performed and produces an annotated step-by-step guide, rather than building a simulated version of the interface. Capture takes about as long as doing the task, and output goes to Word, PDF or PowerPoint built from your own documentation templates.
It does not migrate. There is no import path, so existing material either stays where it is or gets recreated by re-recording the process in FlowShare. For processes that have changed since they were authored, re-recording is usually faster than converting anyway.
